Prof. Ping Xiang

Biography:

Ping Xiang is a professor and doctoral supervisor, as well as a selected expert of the Hunan Province Introducing Overseas High-level Talents Program. He obtained his Ph.D. from City University of Hong Kong in 2012, and subsequently held positions as a postdoctoral researcher and associate researcher at the same institution until 2017. Throughout his career, Ping Xiang has successfully presided over the surface project of the National Natural Science Foundation of China. He has also authored more than 100 SCI papers, including ESI highly cited publications and several top regional SCI papers. In addition, he holds 3 patents and 3 software copyrights. As an outstanding representative of Central South University's faculty, Ping Xiang was honored to be received by the Vice Chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC). Furthermore, he has been invited to visit numerous international universities such as Swansea University (UK), University of Strathclyde (Glasgow), Gunsan University (Korea), Dartmouth College, among others.

Prof. Yanjun Qiu

Biography:

Dr. Yanjun Qiu, Professor and Doctoral Director, serves as the Director of Sichuan Key Laboratory of Road Engineering and the Director of Strategy and Discipline Department at Southwest Jiaotong University. Dr. Qiu is actively involved in teaching, research, and management, with a strong commitment to cutting-edge innovation and research excellence. He has authored over 100 publications in both English and Chinese languages.

Dr. Qiu has successfully led various research projects funded by prestigious organizations such as the National Natural Science Foundation of China, the Ministry of Railways, the Ministry of Transportation, and the Sichuan Provincial Department of Transportation. With more than 20 years of experience in structural analysis of asphalt pavements and under-rail foundations, asphalt mix ratio design, mechanical behavior of pavement surface layers, deformation characteristics of subgrade soils, and traffic planning. He currently holds positions on several editorial boards including Highway and Transportation Science & Technology Journal (English Edition), Journal of Transportation Engineering (English Edition), Journal of Southwest Jiaotong University; Chinese & Foreign Highways; Journal Of Modern Transportation. Additionally he is a member International Society for Soil Mechanics And Geotechnical Engineering (ISSMGE) , an international director for ASCE Academic Committee ,a member National Teaching Guidance Committee Road Transport & Engineering,a vice president Sichuan Highway Society,and a member Sichuan Highway Association,and Vice President Sichuan Highway Association.He also serves as a member Sub-committee on Road Transport &Engineering National Teaching Guidance Committee,Vice Chairman Sichuan Highway Society,and Academic Technical Leader,Sichuan Province."
